Recoger Documentation

Welcome to the Recoger documentation. Here you'll find everything you need to monitor your devices and services, integrate with our API, and connect AI assistants via our MCP server.

What is Recoger?

Recoger is a device and system compliance platform built for startups. It helps you monitor the security posture of your endpoints (laptops, phones) and track the compliance status of your cloud services and third-party tools.

Whether you're preparing for an ISO 27001 audit, maintaining SOC 2 compliance, or just want visibility into your organization's security posture, Recoger provides the data collection and reporting you need.

Core Concepts

Devices

Devices are endpoints like laptops, desktops, phones, and tablets. Recoger agents run on these devices to collect security posture data—disk encryption status, OS updates, firewall configuration, and more.

Services

Services are the cloud applications and third-party tools your organization uses—GitHub, Slack, AWS, Google Workspace, etc. Recoger helps you track their security configurations and schedule regular reviews.

Compliance Checks

Compliance checks are the security controls that Recoger monitors. Each check maps to one or more compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 42001) so you always know your coverage.

Built for an AI-First World

Recoger is designed to work seamlessly with AI assistants. Our MCP (Model Context Protocol) server allows tools like Claude Desktop and ChatGPT to query your compliance data directly. Ask "Are all our laptops encrypted?" and get a real answer from your actual data.
